Child Right’s activist, specialist in International Humanitarian law and Economics. Executive President of Save the Children Romania for 23 years. Gabriela Alexandrescu is leading Save the Children Romania being part of the CEOs Group of Save the Children Association with members in 30 countries across the world, which has programs in 120 countries. She was part of the international Board of Save the Children and is a member of the Europe Advocacy group in Brussels. She is a graduate in Planning and Cybernetics (Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest), International Humanitarian Law (Law Faculty in Bucharest in cooperation with UNHCR), expertise in Children Rights (University of Ghent, Belgium) and has a PHD in sociology with a thesis in Trafficking of children. She is leading a team of 120 staff and 3.000 volunteers in Romania. She was designated by Forbes Romania among the 50 most influential women in Romania in 2015 and 2017. She has expertise in strategic planning and budgeting, team management, program management, lobby and advocacy, communication and fundraising.
